3 Black Comic Creators events you can attend this week

It’s Black History Month! In honor of the culture, we’re highlighting 3 Black Comic Creators events you can attend. 

During the week, you get three chances to learn about the journey of Black comic creators.

On February 23, all ages can attend the discussion. The comics event will be held at Fedrick Douglass Library located at 3353 W. 13th St. Lawndale from 5 – 6 pm.

On February 25, all ages can attend this discussion. The comics event will be held at Broadview Public Library located at 2226 S. 16th Ave in Broadview, IL, from 2 pm -3 pm.

On February 28, only youth and teens can attend this discussion. The comics event will be held in the Youmedia room at Carter G. Woodson Library located at 9525 S. Halsted from 4-6 pm.

Also, hip-hop heads, don’t forget the Chicago Hip Hop Heritage Museum is still open and accepting guests. The museum is located at 4505 S. Indiana Avenue, and you must book an appointment on their website to schedule a tour.

Parents, educators, and Chicago music lovers spread the word. The museum is still open on Wednesdays, and Saturdays tours are $12.00.
