Learn about the groundbreaking work that Black comic creators and comic book artists have done that are revolutionizing the way comic books are being introduced, promoted, and read. This is an all ages event.

What makes these comics and characters so unique is that they draw off everything that represents the Black experience (ie: History, Folk-lore, Mythology, Astrology, Climate, Language, Music and Technology). This presentation will represent and celebrate those contributions and their importance to the comic book industry and to po culture itself.

Calling all artisans, breakers, DJs, graffiti artists, MC’s and entrepreneurs. Join us for an evening of discussion on the vast careers in hip-hop, with Danta “Styles Raw” Williams, Chicago DJ and hip-hop historian.

Explore how the foundational elements of hip-hop can empower youth, create positivity in the community and provide future career opportunities. The conversation will cover a range of topics including culture, education, social justice, networking and music industry careers.
