Amazon offers a FREE  program that looks at why businesses fail and have fleshed out a way to address those issues with the Amazon Black Business Accelerator.

Those participating receive a year of professional advisory services from an experienced Amazon account manager. Their support helps them in critical areas like product listings, fulfillment, inventory, and special events like Prime Day. Becoming a part of the Black Business Accelerator means participants will have access to:

  • Mentorship
  • $500 for setup costs,
  • Up to $400 in free advertising.
  • Free imaging services to showcase products,
  • Special promotional opportunities,
  • Cash grants to select sellers (in partnership with Hello Alice).

The requirements are simple; sellers must be in the US and:

  1. have an Amazon Professional Sellers account,
  2. have a physical product(s) ready to promote and sell,
  3. have uploaded a valid minority-owned business registration or certification to their account in Seller Central from one of the national certifying bodies, i.e., National Minority Supplier Development Council, U.S. System for Award Management (SAM.gov), U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), or SupplierGATEWAY;
Amazon’s Black Business Accelerator ranks high, especially among those who recently started their businesses and are looking for ways to grow their brand. Understanding how to operate your day-to-day can help you save money, increase revenue, and empower your success as a seller.
There’s also an optional membership to BBA Connect – a 12-month program that provides: guidance, education, and a community to help you thrive.
